I can not describe how Joyful, Happy and Proud I am today. As today I had the chance to visit the kids at Pekojan, West Jakarta and give them Education about Dental Health.

At first I thought this action won’t go as well as I expected but then as I pronounce about my Action: Dental Health Education for Kids at Pekojan on facebook, twitter and BBM, I had a great response and support. I never thought friends from other Universities would come and join us. For me these youths who contributed today ARE the INDONESIAN YOUTH HEALTH AMBASSADORS.

These youths who came to volunteer and teach children about Dental Health are really wonderful. They’re willingness to participate the social work has become my admiration and respect towards them. They are willing to get involved be friends with people whom they just met.

My expectations wasn’t really that high, and my worries that this action could fail is beyond. But when we gathered at 10.00 a.m. this morning at FKG Trisakti (Dental Faculty of Trisakti University) for a briefing, I never thought that college students from outside Trisakti and even my own juniors from Dental Faculty were enthusiast to attend this program.

Even when these Ambassadors donated their energy even money, my respect towards them grew. I just couldn’t BELIEVE they WANT to GET INVOLVED!!!

I was afraid we couldn’t get enough transportation for the Ambassadors but my juniors brought their vehicles. I had FOUR CARS in LINE on the way to Pekojan. The support from my own juniors are awesome.

I even couldn’t believe the kids of Pekojan were merely enthusiast about my program. Those kids are really lovely and heartbreaking. I really hope that our action would change their attitude towards Dental Health.

THIS WAS REALLY THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE.

DOING GOOD IS WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY AND A GOOD MEDICINE TO HEAL YOUR WOUNDS.

I wish this mission of sharing and promoting health across Indonesia could continue and last.
